Dear Kate

Thankyou so much for your email and for your interest in Canterbury HC and hockey at Polo Farm - we would be delighted to welcome your children to the club!

Training times are below for each age group. Please note that we are currently running a waiting list for our Little Sticks age group so it may be a few weeks before your youngest would be able to have a taster.

Our U10Bs (Years 4 & 5) train on Sunday mornings from 9am-10.15am each week during term time on the bottom pitch (AW2), nearest to the indoor centre.
Fixtures for the U10s are usually held on the first Sunday of the month in place of training.
We also run a Wednesday evening skills session for U10s/U12s from 6.30pm-7.30pm (included in subs).
An optional extra indoor block runs this half term on Thursdays. This is an extra cost of £25 for the block on first attendance (but this is nearing its end now).

Our U8s (Years 2 & 3) train on Sunday morning from 9am-10.15am each week during term time on the top pitch (AW1), nearest to the clubhouse on arrival at Polo Farm.
Fixtures for the U8s are usually held on the first Sunday of the month in place of training.

Our Little Sticks (Years R & 1) train on a Sunday morning from 9.10am-10am each week during term time in the indoor centre at Polo Farm.

Commitment to sessions is really up to you - once signed up members can just update availability on the Teamo app so that coaches know whether to expect players or not each session. Ideally players would attend as much as they can for continuity but we understand that other things happen at weekends!

Membership subs for these age groups £170 (U10s), £165 (U8s) and £135 (LS) for the 2026/27 season (Sept to Easter) if paid in full. Subs can be paid in one lump sum, 2 or 5 instalments - but there is no need to pay subs immediately as all new starters are eligible for a couple of taster sessions to make sure they enjoy and that you wish to join the club. Subs cover membership, insurance, England Hockey fee and all outdoor training plus junior fixtures. Indoor, tournaments, camps etc incur an extra cost as advertised.

If you are still interested in your children joining us for a taster please register on our admin app Teamo via the following link choosing Juniors so that you will be sent further info via the app:

https://www.teamo.chat/cl...

If you already use the Teamo app for another club, please 'join a new club' from the main menu using Canterbury HC's code: TR7C0

Once registered I can add you all to the junior age groups (Camps only for your youngest at the moment) and you will then be able to see the sessions and give availability to attend on the app. The older two would be very welcome to come along this Sunday and we will be in touch as soon as there is a space for your youngest (which we hope will not be very long at all - you are third on the list!).

Please also take a look at our Parent/Player Handbook 2026/27 for further info about the club.

I will look out for your names popping up on the Teamo app - players must be registered before they can attend a taster session.

We look forward to meeting you both at Polo Farm very soon!

Any queries please ask at any stage.

Jo
