about Men's Friars

After being promoted in 2022-23 for the first time ever The Friars are still at the bottom of the Canterbury Men's hockey pyramid (& indeed almost at the bottom of the National Hockey pyramid!) but are happy to be so. With an age range from 13 to 81 it is a team of very different abilities from talented juniors dipping their feet into adult hockey for the first season to evergreen players who still wish to continue playing until they drop! Since they started playing league hockey 12 years ago they have only ever moved out of their original league - once and upwards!
