Ladies 2nd XI vs Southgate 2s (Away) | 19 Feb 22

After a 2 hour drive, the Canterbury squad arrived at Southgate with a positivity and raring to go.
With showers and high winds from the aftermath of Storm Eunice the 2s stepped onto a blustery and wet pitch, and despite being a team of members who hadn’t played together before, the vibes were good.
The girls soon found their pattern in the way they played. Despite conceding goals in the first half, the team were learning to work well together
Going into the second half the team gave maximum effort and exerted themselves as best they could.
The Canterbury side got a couple of well deserved breaks, but were unsuccessful in getting a goal. Even though the girls tried not to get too physical, Irmak received a card after running into the opposition!
The girls were bonding well learning how to work together and began to achieve some successful drives towards goal, giving their best until the final whistle.
The strong Southgate side gelled together incredibly well and the final score was sadly a loss 9-0.
