The side were looking for a 3rd win on the bounce as they took on Gore Court at home. The game followed the pattern of the previous 2 wins with us going ahead in the 1st quarter through goals by the 2 Simons (Downes and Buckingham). The side have made a habit of a quick start, it is down to the pre-match prep and high intensity warm up.

All was going well and fairly comfortably as we managed to keep the opposition to a few limited chances for the rest of the 1st half, alas a spirited fight back from our opponents with 2 goals scored in quick succession either side of half time, the 1st from a short corner and then a leveller from a penalty stroke, meant with 15 minutes to go the scores were level.

Gore Court grew in confidence and were starting to cause a few problems, however; the better possession and scoring chances were continuing to fall our way.

A series of short corners led to us taking the lead again through a smart finish by Goody. 5 minutes later and another short corner resulted in a 2nd goal for Bucks and a comforting 2 goal lead for the final 5 minutes. Great character from the team to come back and secure a win. A real team effort and a number of excellent performances across the side.

Fantastic to see the youngsters growing in confidence as the season goes on whilst making significant contributions to the success of the side. Confidence is high and the improvements in the play reflect this, roll on next week.
