In tricky conditions, Canterbury 4’s overcame Canterbury 5’s to continue their unbeaten start to the season.

The 5’s scored first, with a well taken reverse stick shot by Ben Lawford to go into the break ahead. Before a rallying speech by Shano, led to a resurgent second half.

Callum Conlon and Hugh Thompson launched huge aerials into the 5’s defence and the tide started to turn.

Chris Ellis found himself in acres of space out wide, played a delightful cross-field pass to Ollie Neal, whose first touch set himself up to nonchalantly roll into an open net.

Ben after warming up with a few drag flicks in the first half- kindly put one at head height for Callum to deflect into the top corner.

Josh Kitson- a livewire throughout- ghosted through a gaping hole in the defence, gave Brad in goal the eyes, before taking it round him to notch the third. Before Ben helped himself onto the scoresheet with a well-taken in-play drag flick top left.

Well played all, in very challenging conditions- Cliftonville 1s away next- lets keep this run going.
