The 4s first venture at the prime time game slot this season saw them pitched against a strong Sevenoaks 3s side, who had the audacity as a 3rd XI to turn up with a coach. Canterbury had a strong start, linking up nicely and capitalising on said start with Glenn rifling one into the bottom corner. The half devolved into somewhat of a rearguard action for a predominant amount of time, although the last 10 minutes was a lot more end to end; half time saw Canterbury 2-1 up. Despite some great keeping by Eddie Rowney and some stubborn back line resistance, Sevenoaks drew level and then took the lead. Fortunately, Glenn Prebble was able to get on the scoresheet again with a sumptuous roofer of a strike. Both teams could’ve won, but a draw against a big rival was a good result nonetheless for the chaps in the green and white.
