Scorers: Ed Matthews
Canterbury 3s endured a hard lesson against a younger, fitter and considerably more energetic Folkestone 1s.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to win a hockey match when you play 7 good minutes out of 70. Far too much respect was given to the opposition who regularly had time on the ball and found gaps seemingly at will between Canterbury’s forward and midfield, and Canterburys midfield and defence.
Special mention to Ed Matthews for scoring his first goal of the season. Other than that, one to quickly move on from and next Saturday can’t come fast enough against Crawley 1s.
