Pilgrims vs Blackheath & Elthamians (Home) | 07 Mar 20

Won 2-0

Scorers: Ed Laslett & Harry Roblin

MoM: Ed Laslett

Grims 2 – 0 Blackheath

The Grims fresh off if beating Holcombe last week were not off to a good start this with both James Milner rested and Thomas Russell Laslett unavailable. Ah well we had a better Las (Alex) to drop in to midfield in his place.

The Grims got off to a solid start without really threatening the Blackheath goal until Harry Roblin crept in round the back and beat the keeper at his near post. The half continued with the Grims in control but not comfortable and other than a green for Dave Shelley not much of note happened.

The second half was much the same but with the Grims tender lead looking more under threat with a few half chances for the visitors.
All fears were put too bed however by an absolute ping off his reverse stick into the roof of the net from another better-than-Thomas Las (Ed) to put the tie beyond the Londoners.

To sign off we’re launching an urgent appeal. If you have seen Tickle please call. We’re all worried for his safety and love him very much. If found, please give hime a good meal to line his stomach and £20 for few ciders and return to Polo Farm by the 21st for the Grims end of season celebrations/welcome home Tommy party.
